# Collaborative Agent Hackathon - Cambridge, UK, 2026

It is great to have you taking part in our **Collaborative Agent Hackathon** in Cambridge! As participants, you will be among the first to get limited access to Flower Agent and explore what becomes possible when collaborative AI runs on SuperGrid.

This post is the main reference point for the day, with information about the schedule, tracks, technical resources, demos, and support.

You do not need to arrive with a team or a finished idea. We will help you form teams, choose a direction and turn your ideas into working projects during the day.

## At a glance

- **Date:** Wednesday 26 August
- **Time:** 9:30 am to 7:00 pm
- **Venue:** LT1 & LT2, William Gates Building, University of Cambridge
- **Address:** [15 JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge CB3 0FD](https://maps.app.goo.gl/MwgPs9LV1D6Wygn78)

Registration and a light breakfast start at 9:30 am. Lunch, refreshments and snacks will be provided. Project demos begin at 5:30 pm, and prizes will be awarded at 6:45 pm.

## Before you arrive

To help you get started quickly on the day, please complete the following:

- **Create or verify your Flower Account.** If you do not already have one, please create your [Flower Account](https://flower.ai/). Please have the email address registered to your account ready on the day.
- **Install a Python package and project manager.** We recommend [`uv`](https://docs.astral.sh/uv/). If you already use another Python package or project manager, you can use that instead.
- **Read the [Flower Agent documentation](https://flower.ai/docs/agent/).** You do not need to build a complete project in advance, but the tutorials will help you get started quickly. (Refer to the **Warmup** section below)
- **Join the Flower Slack workspace.** Join the workspace at [flower.ai/join-slack](https://flower.ai/join-slack), then join `#hackathon_cambridge_2026`. We will use this channel for announcements, support and questions.
- **Bring your laptop and cables.** Bring your laptop, charger and any cables or adapters you need. Extension cords will be provided, but supplies may be limited, so please bring a suitable extension lead or power strip if you have one.

To use Flower Agent on SuperGrid, we will help with access and allow-listing at the start of the day. Your registered Flower Account email will help us get you set up quickly.

## Warmup

## Choose your track

There will be two tracks. We will introduce the tracks, share the detailed guidance and explain the starting points during the hackathon kick-off.

> ### Track 1: SuperGrid

Showcase the collaborative aspect of Flower Agents running on SuperGrid. Agents can significantly accelerate our work, how would _collaborative_ agents multiply that? Using the existing SuperGrid infrastructure, your goal is to showcase the collaborative aspect of Flower Agents running on SuperGrid. You might build an agent chain in which multiple agents contribute to a result, or use multiple `AgentApp`s that share context and hand work between agents.

> ### Track 2: Infrastructure

Build a new collaborative-agent use case by adapting or extending the existing infrastructure. You have more flexibility to define the problem and the solution. You can build a single-agent or multi-agent project, run it on SuperGrid or a local SuperLink, and use the available models or AMD MI300 compute where available.

For both tracks, prepare a working `AgentApp` and a demo of no more than **3–5 minutes**. We will share the submission process and track-specific guidance during the day.

#### Shared model endpoints

With infrastructure provided by AMD, Track 2 participants can use the following models served on AMD Instinct™ MI300X accelerators. These models serve temporary OpenAI Responses-compatible endpoints:

| Model | `FLWR_MODEL_API_ENDPOINT` | Model ID | API key |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Qwen3.5 397B | `http://129.212.182.232:8001/v1/responses` | `/models/Qwen3.5-397B-A17B-FP8` | Shared in Slack |
| Kimi-K2.7-Code | `http://134.199.193.245:8001/v1/responses` | `/models/Kimi-K2.7-Code` | Shared in Slack |
| GLM-5.2 | `http://129.212.179.194:8001/v1/responses` | `glm-5.2-fp8` | Shared in Slack |
| MiniMax-M3 | `http://165.245.135.52:8001/v1/responses` | `minimax-m3` | Shared in Slack |

Before starting SuperLink, select an endpoint:

```bash
export FLWR_MODEL_API_ENDPOINT='<endpoint from the table>'
export FLWR_MODEL_API_KEY='<Key from Slack>'
uv run flower-superlink --insecure
```

Use the matching model ID in your AgentApp:

```python
agent.responses.create({"model": MODEL_ID, "input": prompt, "stream": True})
```

Restart `flower-superlink` after switching models. For Qwen, run `unset FLWR_MODEL_API_KEY`. See [Run an AgentApp with a local SuperLink and Ollama](https://flower.ai/docs/agent/how-to-guides/run-with-ollama.html).

## AgentApp recipes

The recipes below are intended to help you get started.

## Support during the day

Mentors will be available throughout the day to help with setup, ideas and technical questions. You can also ask questions in `#hackathon_cambridge_2026` or speak to any member of the Flower Labs team.

## Submission and demos

Before the demos, each team will submit:

- Team details (team name, members, and email addresses)
- Selected track
- Short project description
- Published Flower Hub app
- GitHub repository link

Each team will have **3–5 minutes** to show what they built, followed by questions from the judges. Keep the demo focused on the problem, the working result and how Flower Agent helps your solution.

## Prize evaluation criteria

Agent performance may inform the assessment, but it is not the sole or decisive factor. Projects will be assessed on the primary theme of _collaborative agents_, on these dimensions:

1. **Impact** - The value and usefulness of the solution.
2. **Innovation** - The originality of the approach.
3. **Use of Flower** - How effectively the project uses Flower Agent and SuperGrid.
4. **Technical execution** - Whether the project works and is well built.
5. **Demo and delivery** - How clearly and effectively the project is presented.
6. **Safety and oversight** - Whether the project is transparent, reliable and appropriately supervised.

## Partners and prizes

We are delighted to be partnering with **ARM, AMD and Amazon**.

There is a total prize pool worth **£1,500** , including:

- A Bambu Lab P1S 3D Printer
- Bose QuietComfort Ultra Noise Cancelling Headphones
- Amazon Echo devices
- Flower Labs and ARM swag

We are excited to seeing what you build! Come ready to experiment, learn from one another, and explore what collaborative agents can do with Flower.

See you in Cambridge!

## FAQ

> **How many people should be on a team?**
>
> We recommend teams of **2–4 people** , ideally with complementary interests and experience. You can work on your own, but in the spirit of collaboration, we encourage you to build projects together and combine your different skills.

> **Can I ask questions to the Flower team?**
>
> Yes! We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Just walk up to any Flower team member and ask directly.

> **Is there a credit limit to running agents on SuperGrid?**
>
> Yes there is a limit. We will ensure that you have sufficient credits to run your `AgentApp`s on SuperGrid throughout the duration of the hackathon. Speak to any member of the Flower Labs team if you think you will need more to complete your project on the day.

> **Is there a time limit for running \`AgentApp\`s on SuperGrid?**
>
> Yes. Each task has a 5-minute timeout, starting from when the task switches to the `Running` status.

> **I've some feedback! Where/who can I share it with?**
>
> That’s awesome and thank you for that! We welcome any feedback to improve the overall Flower Agent experience. You can drop your feedback by clicking on the “Share feedback” icon on SuperGrid. Alternatively, you can share it in the `#hackathon_cambridge_2026` channel or speak directly with one of the Flower Labs team.
